Dvořák’s “Symphony No. 9 (New World Symphony)” Movement 4

The capstone of Oakland Symphony’s Youth Orchestra’s 2019/2020 season, this performance of of Dvořák’s New World Symphony was recorded during Shelter-in-Place. Full rehearsals and the final concert were cancelled due to COVID restrictions. Nevertheless, students continued to rehearse along with Oakland Symphony coaches using Zoom.

In a moving display of hope and determination, the entire youth orchestra came together virtually to perform this movement from the Dvořák’s New World Symphony, edited by their conductor Omid Zoufonoun.
