Tami Dahbura
mezzo-soprano
Currently out on tour playing the role of “Trish” in the First National Tour of the Broadway smash hit, Kinky Boots, Dahbura is thrilled to be returning to the Oakland Symphony for one of her favorite musicals. Tami has performed in productions and concerts all over the world, but some of her favorites were right here in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Tune the Grand Up, Gypsy, Into the Woods, and The World Goes ‘Round, for which she received a Drama Logue Award.
Dahbura has also toured in the First National Tours of the Broadway hits, Memphis and In the Heights, and the National/International Tour of A Chorus Line. She has also enjoyed a wonderful career as a soloist with other symphony orchestras such as the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra and the Maryland Symphony. But her favorite collaboration has been with Maestro Michael Morgan in several concerts with Oakland Symphony, as well as Festival Opera, and the Sacramento Philharmonic.
Dahbura holds a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and when she is not on tour, lives outside of New York City with her 3 dogs and a cat named Thelonious Monkey. Tami wishes to thank her family, and dedicates this concert with love to her parents.
